my face is roasted, lol. but probably not from the 2.4km run. I can't believe myself. my running seems to have improved by leaps and bounds. i didn't even train. haha maybe that's what happens when you climb 114 steps every weekday. something like that. every time i count or
attempt to count the steps of the Anglican Chang Cheng i get a different number. or maybe it was because there were people cheering for me. haha, there were 13 stations, and i remember thinking that they weren't spaced out evenly. When we came to the slope i decided to walk and when all went downhill i leaped like a gazelle. okay, so i
felt like it, but 99% i didn't
look it. lol. haha, it didn't occur to me to cheer for the sec 2s cos i heard the starting point was somewhere else. then when i was nearing towards the end i suddenly saw lots of people and they were cheering and i was thinking, oh, so
that's what they're standing here for. lol. they looked like a welcome party (well, in a way they were) and suddenly i saw my band seniors cheering and screaming for me. haha, talk about motivation. i don't know where i got the strength to run faster but i did. i chiong-ed to the end. i think. or towards the end i slowed down. dunno. can't remember. Oh yeah Yan Hao was super fast lah. and Joyann too ;D and Vanessa also quite fast. and Delphine. and Jia Hui. Oh yah Yong Quan and Jia Hao really ran together to the end.
moral of the story? always cheer for your friends.
oh by the way, i got number 99. haha, lucky number.
oh yeah, after that Joni, Daphne and I went bk, where i bought an 'enormous' omelet sandwich. lol, i wanted to buy onion rings but they only had hash browns for breakfast. yuck, i hate hash browns. then we went to macs and met Emily and Rachel. lol, Rachel was looking sexay!
we went to the beach ;D we climbed up the breakwater and found lots of peanut shells. lol, then we saw a kinda fish, we thought it was a stingray, and we tried to catch it but it disappeared when it reached the breakwater D: we tried to catch some tiny fish that we saw but no luck. we did catch one catfish, though but in the end we let it go. we picked some seashells and rocks. I skipped a stone ;D it only skipped once, though, but it was really cool watching it bounce on the water. then emily first found some black stuff under her foot and we all started checking our feet. haha, we all kena-ed. Joni went to wash it off but then cam back saying some uncle said must use kerosene. lol. it seriously looked like shit. ohh we caught a tiny crab, too. =] we found a lot of nice red stones too =) Emily, Daphne and I attempted to make sandcastles but no such luck. lol. we wanted to bury Emily cos she had a change of clothes and we wanted to bury
someone but we decided to dig a hole and put her in instead and then we found something sticking out from the sand and we tried to pull it up but we only managed to break off the part sticking out and we thought it was a crab leg, lol. we were so freaked out lah, but come to think of it now, it can't be a crab, cos it was too far up inland. even with the high tide no water could reach it. the sea seemed clearer and cleaner since i last came. i went to the other side and found the water much clearer and the sand was much softer. I picked nice rocks and those Daphne didn't want i attempted to skip, with only two more successes, one once and another twice. Emily and Daphne went to change. they took so long, lol and i thought they pang seh-ed me. just when i was getting really emo they materialised again, lol.
we went to macs, where we waited for Emily's dad. He sent Daphne and I to Eunos MRT and we went to bedok where Daphne took bus 9 and i took "bus 11" [walk].
P.S. instead of kerosene you can use turpentine to wipe the black stuff away.
