Spontaneous!
Tuesday, March 24, 2009
I owe my new URL to Jonathan Kit. go figure. It ain't that hard.
Anyway, Spontaneous was super! I still have muscle aches on my shoulder from carrying the salad and the drinks, though. We went to East Coast Park and played monkey and captain's ball there. I was said to be one of the most hyper ones there. As always :D. Then there was testimony sharing. I shared an impromptu one :D. After that we did what we wanted to do. The guys were still playing captain's ball with water bombs. I practiced skipping stones and did once or twice but they weren't very successful due to the high tide. Here are some photos I took:
Water bombs. I felt so tempted to steal one :D

Haha today's day 25 of my Purpose Driven Life :D
Here are some really really great lines:
It's not about you.
You are not an accident.
The way you see your life shapes your life.
The heart of the matter is the matter of the heart.
Jesus gave up everything so you could have everything. He died so you could live forever.
God is real, no matter how you feel.
Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less.
If you look at the world, you'll be distressed. If you look within, you'll be depressed. But if you look at Christ, you'll be at rest! --Corrie ten Boom ( suffered in a Nazi death camp)
You'll never know that God is all you need until God is all you've got.

Who are you to judge?
Monday, March 2, 2009
There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?
--James 4:12
In John 8:7 , Jesus said to the crowd, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first." (NKJV) Basically, The Pharisees had caught an adulteress in the act and wanted to see what Jesus would do. Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger. We don't know what He wrote, but scholars believe that He was writing down the sin of everyone in the crowd, from the oldest to the youngest.
The bible says in James 2:10, "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it." So that means that we are all equally guilty. It is not for us to judge how righteous or unrighteous others are, because we are the same. One little white lie carries the same weightage of a murder. Both are sin, and both hurt God.
